Melissa Ice

Founder & Executive Director

As a graduate from Dallas Baptist University, Melissa has been involved in and employed by different Christian organizations and churches for the past 12 years. Prior to The NET, she served on a church staff as the Missional Director, equipping people how to serve the poor. She first gained her heart for serving through traveling overseas on mission trips over a dozen times to places like China, Nepal, Morocco and Ghana. Melissa is currently the Founder and Executive Director of The Net which began when a group of TCU college students started building relationships with people experiencing homelessness back in 2010.

Outside of The NET, Melissa and her husband are very involved in their community through various ventures including being Co-Owners of a restaurant called BREWED on the Southside of Fort Worth They also co-own a mixed-use warehouse called The 4 Eleven. Melissa was recently named Fort Worth Business Press 40 Under 40 and she is also Fort Worth Magazine's Editor's Choice for Best Philanthropist in 2018.

When Melissa is not hard at work, you can find her having dinner on the front porch of her 1920's home. Melissa loves speaking and advocating for the marginalized, but her favorite venture is being mommy to her daughter Rosie and her daughter Justice, who joined their family through adoption in 2018.
