Hours: 22- 26 Hours

  • Location: Fort Worth, TX (in person position)

Availability required: Mondays 10:00-11:30 am & 5:30-7:30 pm, some Wednesdays 5:00-7:30 pm, & all monthly social events (unless approved prior)

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Position Description

The Net Fellowship is a leadership development program where Fellows are immersed in nonprofit anti-trafficking initiatives. Fellows will get hands-on experience in direct client services, play an active role in outreach and aftercare programming, learn nonprofit management, and grow spiritually. Fellows will develop proficiency in trauma-informed care and become equipped with experience to launch into a career in nonprofit or social work, all while being mentored by nonprofit professionals in a positive team building environment. Fellows will leave with issue fluency in anti-trafficking, poverty alleviation, and a biblical view of justice.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Support direct client services under the leadership of the The Net’s Clinical Director

    • Attend/Coordinate bi- weekly outreach to survivors of sexual exploitation in the Tarrant County Jail

      • Lead outreach volunteers in best practices including trauma informed care, spiritual formation, and pairing advocates with participants

    • Attend/Coordinate bi-weekly support group for survivors of sexual exploitation

      • Create a safe & hospitable environment for clients

      • Facilitate client intake process and attendance

      • Coordinate curriculum and other group materials

    • Coordinate classes and case management for survivors

      • Prepare materials for classes and case management meetings

      • Responsible for maintaining supplies and creating a hospitable environment for clients

      • Assist with database management for client service records

      • Participate in Enrichment classes with the opportunity to co-teach/lead classes when appropriate

    • Coordinate with the Staff Advocate to assist with planning The Net’s monthly Social Events 

  • Assist with nonprofit administration

    • Support the executive team and development team by assisting with special projects

    • Assist with development efforts such as donor thank you notes and other fundraising mailers

    • Help manage donor database

    • Gather and record photo content and stories from client services

  • Leadership Development

    • Complete weekly devotionals and the Gospel Centered Life study for personal spiritual growth

    • Complete the When Helping Hurts curriculum to learn best poverty alleviation practices

    • Complete weekly anti-trafficking homework to create general issue fluency

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • Prior experience with vulnerable populations strongly preferred

  • General knowledge of domestic sex trafficking strongly preferred

COMPENSATION

  • Fellows receive a monthly stipend to help cover living expenses during the program.
