What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible and tax-advantageous way to make a charitable donation. DAFs allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time.
The Net gratefully accepts grants from DAFs in support of our mission to disrupt trafficking and support survivors as they rebuild their lives. We partner with some of the largest DAF sponsor organizations and their philanthropic service teams in the United States.
Clients of BNY Mellon, Fidelity Charitable, and Schwab Charitable can make a designation to The Net through the DAF Direct window on this page.
The Nets tax I.D. number: 46-2575043.

How do donor-advised funds work?
DAFs can be easily set up through your financial institution or a community foundation to serve as a flexible charitable giving vehicle. You initiate the designation of a single grant or a recurring grant (monthly, quarterly or annually) to The Net through your charitable account organization. Giving through your donor-advised fund is a powerful way to help The Net. For more information on how to establish a DAF, contact your financial advisor or community foundation.
Why are donor-advised funds used?
• You can quickly put your charitable dollars into action.
• You can make recurring gifts with ease on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
• Giving accounts have the potential to grow, possibly providing additional funding when you are ready to make a gift.
• Easy to turn your portfolio into an impactful gift to impact lives.
Note: Individual situations vary, so donors should consult their financial advisors.
