Worthy Co VIP Launch Party

Worthy Co VIP Launch Party - Empower Women in Fort Worth | The Net

On November 14th, we gathered for an evening to celebrate the success of The Net's newest project and social enterprise Worthy Co, which employs survivors of sex trafficking here in North Texas.

This party was an exclusive first look into the future of the Worthy Co production and retail space coming soon to the Near Southside of Fort Worth. Executive Director, Melissa Ice, shared how the community can support these women!

The Worthy Co is a social enterprise started by The Net that offers women who have survived trafficking, prostitution, and addiction safe and supportive employment.

A WORD FROM MELISSA ICE

Founder & Executive Director: The NET

"I am delighted and honored to have my friend Salah Boukadoum with us as a guest speaker. He is co-founder and CEO of Soap Hope, an organization on a mission to empower women to lift them, and their families and communities, from extreme poverty.”

At The Net, we have discovered that victims of trafficking and exploitation have a hard time getting gainful employment due to their trauma, criminal record, and lack of job history.

That’s why we created The Worthy Co, a social enterprise where we employ ladies in our program to make candles and jewelry. The NET provides these women with a safe working environment to help them gain experience and also earn some income as they develop the skills needed to enter back into the workforce.

The mission of The Worthy Co. is to empower & employ women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, & addiction as they improve their own lives by learning vocational skills, gaining work experience, and earning real income.

We believe every woman is worthy of love, healing, and the chance to rebuild her life!

WHEN YOU SUPPORT WORTHY CO, YOU ARE TELLING SURVIVORS OF TRAFFICKING…

"You are worthy.”
