Ladera Kids ProgramL

Healthy community is a vital part of a joyful life. Come join us as we engage and build genuine, empowering relationships with refugee youth.

This is a general outline of our regular events. Get the most up-to-date info by following us on social media @thenetfw!

Wednesdays // 5:30PM-7:00PM // Ladera Palms Apartment Complex
On Wednesdays we host an after-school discipleship program for kids at Ladera Palms Apartments. Ladera Palms is populated primarily by resettled refugees from all over the world. The kids in our program are from Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Our mentors lead gender-specific small groups teaching the kids about Jesus, building genuine relationships, and helping them improve their English. To be a Ladera Kids Mentor you must fill out this online application and plan to join us every Wednesday! *Application, background check, and training required.

Monthly Play Dates at Ladera Palms

Third Saturdays // 12:00PM – 1:30PM // Ladera Palms Apartment Complex
Every month we head to Ladera Palms to spend the afternoon with the kids in our discipleship program. We meet at the North Clubhouse for our volunteer “huddle” where you’ll receive instructions for the day! We’ll usually be playing soccer, drawing with sidewalk chalk, coloring, and having fun! All are welcome – no training or application required. Text or call us at 682-233-4283 if you’re having trouble finding the clubhouse. *Please dress modestly*

Bi-weekly educational & recreational trips

Dates & Times Vary // Only open to trained mentors
During the Summer we provide educational and recreational excursions for the kids in our discipleship program (ie. Science Museum, Fort Worth Zoo, Omni Theater, etc.)
