Spend time every month playing sports and doing activities with our friends at Ladera Palms!
Ladera Kids, led by The Net’s Ty Bowden, provides weekly after-school mentoring, monthly playdates, and seasonal field trips in the Ladera Palms community of Fort Worth. The kids we serve are mostly from Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, so we seek to build genuine community that crosses cultural divides by emphasizing relationship and discipleship.
Our weekly Ladera Kids Club teaches refugee kids their value and worth, builds deep mentor/student relationships, and equips the kids to be successful, joyful leaders in all areas of life.
If you’re interested in becoming a mentor, apply here!
Ladera Kids playdates occur on the third Saturday of every month and allow you to spend some extra time with the kids in our mentor program. You’ll receive instructions with the other mentors at the beginning of the day, and more often than not you’ll be playing soccer, drawing with sidewalk chalk, coloring, and above all else having fun! There is no training required, so sign up today if you’re interested in changing the lives of kids and having a great time doing it.
During the summer months, we offer bi-weekly educational & recreational field trips for our kids. They typically visit destinations like the Fort Worth Zoo, the Science Museum, or the Omni Theater. These awesome trips are fun for both kids and mentors, but are only open to trained mentors so sign up for Ladera Kids training today to join the fun!
